Many within the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma reject what was decided at the General Conference in St Louis in February 2019. We mourn the pain and feel the betrayal.
We affirm and celebrate our lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, intersex and ace family. We believe every single person is created, cherished and called by God, beloved, beautiful and blessed. No legislation can change that! By the freedom and power God gives us, we commit ourselves to living out our United Methodist baptismal vows “to resist evil, injustice and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves.”
So we will do everything in our power and privilege to renounce, reject and resist.
